Critter Tailz Fun Fact: Moose means twig eater in the Algonquin language. Moose antlers are broad and palmate (flat) unlike the twig-like antlers of deer. After the mating season, the antlers are shed to conserve energy for the winter. A new set each spring takes 3-5 months to regrow.
